• Rules for .uk domains

     UK domains can be between 3 and 63 characters. Two character names are only
       permitted if one is a letter and the other a number.

       Plc or Ltd must match the database in Companies house. 2 character names are
       as in the case of .co.uk only accepted if one is a letter the other a number

       After purchasing a domain the domain is yours only.
 
 

• Rules for .com .org and .net domains

       Characters permitted: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789

       Names are not allowed to start or end with a hyphen.
       Maximum 67 characters long including .com .net .org

       After purchasing a domain the domain is yours only.

       To check a .com/.net/.org domain you can no longer use
     www.networksolutions.com, you must instead use www.crsnic.net which is the
       new top level database.
